Hey gang!

First, I apologize for not being timely with this, the first edition of what will be some sort of post-game analysis. I’ll promise to not be as long-winded in the future and hope this can be more of a running blog that elicits much conversation and even heated debate about football. For those of you who know me, you’ll know that brevity absolutely is not my thing but you’ll also know that I love X’s and O’s and watching football. I can be a hothead, emotional, reactionary guy on Sundays a lot but try to step back and analytically review games as well.

So the intent here moving forward, when I talked with Ken about contributing, is to offer some post-game breakdown and enjoy the fellowship among my Packer brethren. I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward to every week!

Caveat: with the short week against the Bears also looming, I’m going to try to be timely in getting these up but will have to work around my work schedule as well which has had a ton of travel lately. In fact, I have the dubious honor of getting to watch the GB/CHI game IN Chicago. Pray for me. I’ll be a pilgrim in an unholy land of heathens.

I’m a stat dork too, so beside being a long-winded wordy SOB, I also sometimes get into the nitty gritty. So if this isn’t your favorite type of beer to be guzzling, I understand. BTW, I strongly recommend downloading the Gamebook from Packers.com. It’s a great resource to chart plays and parse stats and complements the re-watching of games quite well. Since I can free associate, I’ll try to organize my thoughts each week into offense, defense, and viewpoints, the latter of which will be opinions, coaching discussions, and other thoughts.

Because I anticipated this installment to be lengthy, I’ll refrain from yammering about my football philosophy for now.

Onto the Recaps!
